Jason was only 17 when death quickly snatched him from our family. He left behind an older brother, Shane whom he loved and looked up to, a niece, Breanne that he adored and mom and dad whose hearts will never heal. Jason was born with a very serious heart condition that was discovered at the age 3. At the age of 10 Jason's heart had worsened and surgery was done to temporarily correct the malfunction. This was a very trying time for him, his family and friends. Although this condition limited his ability to play football and wrestling, the surgery made it possible for him to be very active and normal in other things.
He excelled and developed a great love for art and music, showing a remarkable talent with his drawings, winning the admiration of many. One of his many dreams was to be an artist. Jason loved music and began taking guitar lessons and would practice for hours on end. He also loved the outdoors, enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and was looking forward to graduation. Jason was killed instantly as a result of a reckless decision someone else made. That's when our dreams turned into a nightmare and our lives changed forever. Jason's death has brought us eternal sorrow. He is greatly missed by his family and friends. We miss him everyday and he's always on our minds and forever in out hearts.
