Earl Gapen

         Barry IL--Earl Easter Gapen, 84, a retired electrician (April 16, 1969) at 10:55pm in Barry, died Wednesday in a Barry nursing home.  He had been ill for some time.
         Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Barnes-Gill Funeral Home.  Services and burial will be at LaSalle Saturday.
         Mr. Gapen was born at Lacon, June 21, 1884, a son of Charles and Laura Fisher Gapen.  He was a member of the Barry Christian Church.  He married Mrs. Bertha Predmore Baird March 7, 1954 at Barry.  She preceded him in death.
         Surviving are a son, Leo of Peru and a step-son, Herman Baird of Barry, and a grandchild.
