Richard Predmore

 


                 Funeral sevevices were held Sunday afternoon from the First Christian church for Richard Predmore, well known Barry resident, who passed away at his home early Friday morning, February 19.  Rev. L. A. Dunham officiated at the services and the casket bearers were Arthur Powell, Ray Hull, Wilford Smith, Ed Triplett, and Frank Pierce.
                 Mr. Predmore had been in failing health for several years but was confined to his bed only a few days before his death.
                 Richard Lincoln Predmore, son of Joseph and Sarah Garroot Predmore was born in Pike county on March 16, 1863.
                 On August 11, 1886 he was married to Mary Etta Hastings and to this union six children were born, two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Baird, and Mrs. Pearl Johnson of Barry, and four sons, Albert of Macomb, IL, Earl of Avon IL and Micheal and Raymond both of Quincy IL.
                 Mr. Predmore was engaged in farming until three years ago when he retired from the farm and moved to Barry.
                 He is survived by his widow, his six children, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Julia Robertson of Beverly and a number of nieces and nephews.  Two brothers and one sister preceeded him in death.
