I am Home... I am home in heaven dear ones, Oh so happy and so bright. There is perfect joy and beauty, In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over; Every restless tossing past. I am now at peace forever; Safely home in heaven at last. Did you wonder I so calmly; Trod the valley of the shade? Ah! But Jesus' love illumined Every dark and fearful glad. And he came himself to meet me, In that way so hard to tread; And with Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread? So you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still. Try to look beyond earth's shadows; Pray to trust our Father's Will. There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idely stand; Do it now while life remainth, You shall rest in Jesus' land. Little Angels When God calls little children to dwell with him above We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of a child. Who do so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold, So he picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few, To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try, The saddest word mankind knows, will always be "goodbye". Memories Are Golden They say memories are golden well maybe that is true, We never wanted memories We only wanted you. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path of heaven and bring you back again. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. After Glow I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I Am Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free! I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone, must stay that way. I found peace at close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy! A love shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes! These things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
