Hi, we are Ron and Brian, Laura's hubby and youngest son. Laura is NO gardener or farmer, she doesn't put her hands into the dirt, so we are left to work the land. So come on and take a look at "our" garden

We are lucky enough to live in a semi rural area. Behind us is an old farm. That is one of the reasons we bought the house. The farmer and I got to be good friends over the years and since I fix all his tractors and things for him, he gave us a patch for our own garden.
Brian and I have worked hard over the years to get it to where it is today. We started out with just some carrots and beans. Now today we grow everything we can grow.
Some years we have way too much rain and we hardley get anything, other years we don't have enough and Brian has to bring water from the creek near the garden for water! This year we have had just the right amount of rain so far. We even had a spring come up in the middle of the corn after a storm. But we are starting to see our rewards now.

Our broccoli and cauliflower

Jalapeno peppers and Green peppers
Salsa anyone?

Our onions growing and now hanging in basement drying out. Fry these in butter and they melt in your mouth!

Yellow squash and tomatoes

This is kohlrobi. Cook and make a cream sauce for this. Very good!

Watermelon!

One of our pumpkins and some yellow gourds

Purple green beans that do turn green after you cook them. They are better than your normal green bean. And potatoes just dug from the ground. Fry them up and OH SO GOOD!
I hope you have enjoyed visiting our garden. If you want to use anything just stop by. We love sharing our veggies with friends!

Ron and Brian
