Here's the letter Melanie H. sent in response to the article
published in the San Francisco Examiner titled: "Fight Over Adoption Secrecy!"
You truly speak the word's of a JACKASS!! I am a 28 year old female, adopted at 6 weeks of age Most of these "adoption bill's" that are in the legislature You need to do a little more research. Melanie Henry
Are you adopted? Are you a birth parent or an adoptive parent?
What is your experience in the adoption world?
by the most AWESOME parent's an adoptee (or ANY kid, for that matter) could ask for.
My birth parent's were 14 & 15.
I found my birth family when I was 19 year's old,
and I can only describe the feeling as follows:
When I first met my birth mom,
it felt like for the first time in my life, my feet were touching the ground.
are based on the PROTECTION of THOSE WHO WISH NOT TO BE FOUND!
Meaning, if a birth parent want's to keep their identity hidden
all they need to do is let it be known.
There's a lot more folk's who wish to be found.
An issue such as adoption is very sensitive to a lot of people;
I suggest you pick a more neutral topic to blabber your opinion on.
Your ignorance astounds me. Whatever.
You know what they say...Opinions are like a**h***s, everybody's got one.
So I just thought I'd share mine with you.
