This page is devoted to my friends in real life who do NOT have web sites. This will really just be a sampling of them, as I cannot possible chronicle EVERYONE here. I have been blessed with a variety of friends and acquaintances, some of which I unfortunately no longer have contact with. Anyone who knows me from any time in my life is welcome to contact me at dawn@rdcss.com!
Offline Friends
Our newest friends, Tom & Mara and their children Devin & Matthew, are also our closest friends. They're the ones we fellowship with most often and a week just doesn't seem right if we don't get with them at least once :-) We met them in Talledega, AL, in April of 2002, at a gold prospecting outing. We worked together and discovered throughout the day that we had a lot in common, and that we only lived an hour from each other, and we've spent a lot of time together over the months since then. I am continually delighted that God saw fit to bless us with these friends.
Another family who are special to me are Filip & Kim and their children Helen, Heidi, Kenneth, David, Glen, and Marilyn. I had the privilege of attending college one year with Filip, and finally was able to meet Kim in March 2001. I was pleased to find that Kim and I have many things in common. The only downside is that they live an hour away from us, in a totally different direction from the friends mentioned above.
I have no clue why this friend doesn't have a web site, but he doesn't, so I'll have to put him on this page :-) I've known Robb for many, many years. I had the privilege of meeting him in person in the winter of '93/'94. I have not yet had the opportunity to meet his wife in person, but I've talked with her on the phone and emailed a couple of times. I 'knew' her from the echoes (the pre-internet form of mailing lists) which is also where the two of them met each other. They live entirely too far away from me!
