Hey boys.... I got to eat lunch with your Mom today, which is always a joy for
me. Today got told me that I had not written to you'll in almost a year.
Where did the year go? For some reason I just haven't been able to sit
down to write it's like my mind is racing and I can't slow down to write.
Paw Paw is sorry. Your Mom told me today that she went home yesterday and
read the journals and cried and it touched my heart. You boys are so
special to me.
What have you'll been doing... Well Gage I think you may turn out to be my photographer. On your trip to Disney World you shot some pictures that really makes me think you have that special something. Prior to your trip to DW you were in Lauren's wedding.. really you and Noah both. It was such a pretty wedding.. Your Mom, Aunt Mary and Aunt Lauren were so pretty and I even shot some of the pictures. Elaine and Debbie shot the wedding. Lauren was so pretty... Noah you are just something now days... the last time I wrote anything you weren't even crawling, but those days are long gone... I was watching you chase after Gage over here Sunday and it just made me smile the way and Gage were playing. What was funny this past Sunday was I had your lunch ready when you'll got here from church. You saw your plate and you starting crawling up in your highchair... it was so funny to me.. but everything you and Gage do is funny to me.
Paw Paw has been making more pictures and the girls (your Mom and Aunts) think I should open a studio. I would like to but I'm a little afraid yet. Last week a dear friend, Sundra, came home to see her son and I shot some SR pictures of him. She loved them... it always makes me feel good to know that people likes what I've done. Oh yeah... I've got 6 pictures now hanging in the library at Prentiss and Columbia. (3 at each) My Mom was just beside herself when I gave her the prints to take to them.
Well I think I wrote you'll last year when I lost my little Maggie that I didn't want anymore dogs.. well guess what I've got.. I've got a Cody.. hahaha .. Lauren and Lane got him and gave him to Mary, but for all it's worth he's mine. Cody is a little Yorkie and has the same color hair as my first dog 46 years or so ago. His name was Rusty. Boys there's just some things you never forget no matter how old you get. Like you Gage I bet you'll always remember how you tell Mom how pretty the sunrise is as you'll come over the bridge and how you tell her "I bet Paw Paw would like this one"... I hope you'll carry this memory with you always. Noah you may be to young right now to remember, but I hope you never lose your love for hugging those you love. Each time I see you that's the first thing you do is to give me a hug... and each time is so special to me.
Gage you have gotten to be a big boy.. Each Friday night you stay with Gee-Gee and now on Sunday afternoons you like to spend with me. You love playing in the back yard digging in garden.
Well boys Paw Paw is going to try to do better about keeping you'll up to date...
Love you boys,
Paw Paw

6:30am
Good wet Friday morning boys. The weather got PawPaw up about 3 this morning and then Cody and Lucy wanted to play. I almost never got back to sleep. I'll be leaving here in just a bit going to Camp Bluebird. Camp Bluebird is a weekend camp where cancer patients go to have a good time and be with other patients. I just hope I can hold up and don't let the camp get me upset. I'm going to be the camp photographer this weekend.
Noah, Mom had to take you back to see the doctor.. like PawPaw you have this old bad cough. I'll be glad when we all get well. Gage, I talked you Mom yesterday morning and she told me something that made me smile. You were doing something the other night and Dad told you 'you've just like your PawPaw'... and you responded with 'I hope I am'. Oh yeah... Mom said she asked you where you would like to go eat next Thur after your Easter Parade and you ask her if you'll could come eat at the hospital with PawPaw. (wow what that does for me). Son I hope one day you and Noah will understand just what you mean to me and just how PawPaw loves you boys.
Well boys.. PawPaw is going to get up from here and see about getting ready to go. Gage and Noah, I hope you have a GREAT day today.
Love ya,
PawPaw

Hey boys... I just wanted to say HI this afternoon. I've
been in an ACCESS class all day and my brain is about shot. I shot
pictures this past weekend at Camp Bluebird and let me tell you both I had the
best time. The patients are just something. Off and on all weekend
they had devotionals and sang the old church songs I grew up with. One one
that really got to me was "IN THE GARDEN". A few years ago my Mom, Aunt
Pat, Gene, Jeff and myself went to the Old Place to clean up and later I wrote a
poem about it and used that song as the background music. It really
touched me as we sang it Friday. It's something how different things effect you
and how we hold on to memories. Gage, I'm looking forward to up
coming up to the hospital Thur to eat lunch with me. Well boys I think PawPaw is
going to go watch TV for a little while..
Love you Boys,
PawPaw

Easter Morning
6:30am
Happy Easter Boys.. I hope the Easter Bunny left you'll something. He left Aunt Mary a basket and I may get in it and eat some of her candy if she doesn't get up soon... hahaha
Mary has been on her last High School Spring Break and today is the last day. Next year it will be your turn Gage to be off and I hope to take the week off so you and I can do something. Maybe we can go take pictures of something. I know I would like that very much.
Friday morning you called me as you'll were coming over the big bridge and you were telling me how pretty the sunrise was. Gage, son, I have no idea just how this makes me feel. The very fact that you want to call me and tell me all about the colors you see just does wonders for me. I think you may have the gift of seeing things that others just take for granted. Son I hope you never lose your sight of this great and wonderful gift.
Little Noah.. you made PawPaws day when you came over last week. Your Mom told me that when she turned on my street you got to saying PawPaw... and when you came in you hugged me and called me PawPaw. These little things are so small yet so dear to me. I'm so lucky to hear these simple little words and each time I hear them it's as if my heart is hearing them for the first time. Noah, son you are just so special.
Gage and Noah, I know at your young age you have worries, but latter on in life you're going to have even larger worries, things you cannot control, people that mistreat you, but boys to say the least these things and people are just passing by. I said this because last week I talked to my Mom and she was telling me about a dear old friend who lost her little girl over nothing. For days this fact worried me and I just cannot think of anything worse than this. Boys there's nothing and I repeat NOTHING you cannot work out and over come. Now this Mom and Dad will have to go thru the rest of their lives hurting and living without being with their little girl. Boys always know that you are loved and that no matter what you will always be loved.
Well boys I better get a move on this morning.. want to see if I can get some more bird pictures this morning.. ;-) PawPaw is crazy isn't he.. hahaha
Love ya'll,
PawPaw

5:45am
Good morning boys... Oh it's a Monday morning for sure. PawPaw does NOT want to go the office this morning. Yesterday I was shooting pictures of dogs. Boys let me tell you-- that was hard work.. hahaha ... but I had fun.
You'll came over yesterday afternoon.. Gage you wanted me to see how you could ride your bike... without training wheels no lease. I can't believe that you can ride like that. You are just growing up so fast and Noah, son you are also. You were on a little push and ride toy and I've never seen anyone go as fast as you were. You're little legs were pushing that thing down the street. Then you got to going up and down a drive way and I knew it was going to happen... you fell and skinned your knee. Looked like you did a good job of it also.
Well there's not a lot to talk about this morning, but I just wanted to say Good Morning and to let you know PawPaw had not forgotten about ya.
Love ya'll,
PawPaw
