1862

February

14 Left Greenes Burg and started on a line of march for the South
   Camped at Ebonezer Meeting House
15 Marched through Columbia and camped in the woods and a man shot
   in Compt (F) by one of same Compt
16 Marched all day in the rain, snow melted off Camped on big creek
17 Marched to Edmunton and camped
18 Marched too Randolph and camped
19 Marced all day in the rain and camped in Glassgow courthouse
20 March out 3 miles on the Nashville Pike to Camp Grant.
   Rested 3 days much rain during the time
23 Marched back to Glasgow, took the Bowlinggreen road marched 16 miles
   and camped 3 miles above Bell's Tavern
24 Marched 2 miles below Bell's Tavern camped early in the day to shoe
   our teems.
25 Marched 21 miles and camped 3 miles north of Bowlinggreen the name
   of the camp was Buell and rested 5 days.

March

 2 left Camp Buell marched to the River and remained there the greater part
   of the day waiting for other troops to cross the river, rained vary hard,
   Crossed over the river and marched 3 miles south of Town and camped
   on the Nashville Pike
 3 marched 20 and camped
 4 Marched 11 miles and camped 3 miles in Tenn
 5 Marched 18 miles & camped
 6 marched 10 miles & camped 5 miles North of Nashville at Camp Hobson
   in Davidson County Tenn Rested 4 days
10 Marched threw Nashville and camped 3 miles South of said city at
   Andrew Jackson rested 7 days
18 Left camp Andrew Jackson and marched 10 miles & camped in Montgomery
   County Tenn
March 1862
19 Marched 14 miles passing threw Frankling Tenn and camped
22 Marched 6 miles to camp no 4 in Murry County Tenn

   which had been fought that day and stood in line of battle in the
   rain the balance of the night and very hungry.
 7 marched out on the bloody field of Strife early in the morning
   fought hard all day with but vary little to eat took the rain
   again at night
 8 Stood in line of battle part of the dyay Still raining at night
 9 Camped on the battle ground
10 Engaged in burying the dead.

 3 Marched 20 miles Skirmishing a cross Salt river camped on the
   South side of the river
 4 Paid in the morning resumed our marched 20 miles by the way of
   Springfield and camped 1 mile north of Bardstown
October 1862
 5 Marched 15 miles & camped on Beechfork
 6 Marched to Springfield and camped
 7 Marched 18 miles & camped on the Rowlingfork
 8 Marched 8 miles and camped
 9 Marched 4 miles & camped on the edge of the Battleground of Perryville
10 Marched 4 miles camped on Salt river
11 Stood all day in line of battle some fighting on our right
12 Marched 5 miles and camped 3 miles east of Danville
13 Marched threw Danville 1 mile on the road to camp Dick Robertson and
   lay in line of battle all night
14 Turned back Marched threw Danville taking the Stanford Pike Marched
   threw Stanford & camped
15 Marched 20 miles went threw Craborchard camped. Skirmishing all day
   with the rebels got some men wounded
16 Marched 5 miles and camped at a big spring east of Mountvernon
17 Marched 4 miles found the road blockaded went back to our old camp
18 Marched 8 miles & camped in 3 miles of bragg army
19 Marched threw camp wild cat went 8 miles and camped in Lorel Co
20 Marched 2 miles & camped went out on pickett duty
21 Remained on pickett our men bring in some Prisoners and beef Cattle

23 Turned back towards Louisville 12 miles and camped in Rockcastle County

31 Marched 8 miles to Columbia Regment disbanded to meet at Glasgow
   Barren County on the 3 day Nov in order for the men to go home to see
   there familys & friends

November 1862

 4 Remained at Glasgow
 5 Left Glasgow and took the Gallinton road camped on barren river
 6 Marched 15 miles and camped at Scottsville, Allen County, Ky
 7 Marched 14 miles crossed Tenn line and camped 3 miles in Tenn in
   Cumberland Co
 8 Marched 25 miles went to threw Gallinton and camped between Gallinton
November 1862

10 Marched 10 miles crossing Cumberland river and camped on the
   Lebanon & Nashville Pike 18 miles from Nashville
11 Left camp to guard a train of waggons to Mitchellville & back we
   returned back to camp the 16 day of Nov, 1862

18 Moved our camp 8 miles towards Nashville to Stone river

   camp Remained in camp from the 30 to the 27 day of Dec 1862 performing
   camp duty and pickett duty all the time

Decenber 1862

28 Left camp Munfordsville in Pursuit of Morgan Marched 23 miles and
   camped at Nolin
29 Marched at ? Oclock and went 20 miles to Rolingfork had a Skirmish
   with Morgan
30 Marched 6 miles to the bridge a cross Rolingfork rested till noon and
   marched back to Elizabethtown on our return back
31 Returned back to Rolingforg Bridge

January 1863
