Tom
This is Tom with my dog Nala in our back yard well part of our back yard.
Tom and I became husband and wife March 14th,1992, He ran a theatre known in the St. Louis area as the Melvin, It was a dollar house and a favorite hangout of the kids that became known as the Melvin Mafia, I might add that mafia was used in relation to the word family and not as a gang, the kids were cast aways or kids old enough in years to be on their own but just not quite capable of doing it without some kind of support, Tom became that support for them, helping them move, taking their kids to the doctor or answering their phone calls at midnight for one crisis or another, The Melvin was used as a meeting place for town meetings also. I met Tom for the first time during a town meetings. I later ran across his path while attending the movie "Glory" which later became the theme of our wedding. Tom bless his heart became husband and a father and then Grandpa in a short 2 year span. Now 7 years later my daughter calls him dad and friend, Becca our granddaughter refers to him as her hero, and me I refer to tom as the best thing that ever happened to me and I will devote my life to loving him forever!
Tom and I saved our money the first 2 years we were married till we had enough to purchase the home we now own in southern Illinois, until then we shared a home with his mom in South St.Louis. Tom works for Siemans Manufacturing To find out what they do just follow the link .
Tom was born with the kindest heart ever to be bestowed to mankind, and his patience is unbelievable, he walks with God and lives the life he feels the Holy Spirit directs him, because of this I am blessed with a wonderful husband who never lets a moment go by letting me feel that his love for me is less then what I could hope for.
Tom is involved with Promise Keepers and he conducts a bible study at his work on tuesday mornings before work starts. He is the youth teacher on wednesday nights with a pocket full of treats for a quick bible quiz or by giving the children a bible story and then an active game of ball or hill dale.
Here at home he enjoys working the garden, he lovingly tolerates my animals as he is allergic to the cats and doesnt see use for the rabbits mostly cause he has built so many cages for them I don't believe he finds it nessesary for them all to have their own apartment LOL! He is also my hero as he fixes every mess up on the puter that I am responsible for and his only remark is usually a gentle smile and a sigh as he paitently fixes it and explains "again" how to do it.
Another favorite pasttime is road trips these are small weekend trips with no destination in mind we just set off in a direction with a couple change of clothes, and stop when we feel like it change direction at a whim and just enjoy together time, Tom loves to travel and see things. we have enjoyed going to Texas, Minnasota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Orleans, Arkansas, Ohio, Kansas, West Virginia, Nebraska, Maine, New York, Tennessee, Mississippi, Indiana, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Nebraska, (not all the same trip! ) Our Long vacation we went on for a week we went to S.Dakota. Tom loves to take the back roads and really see stuff thank goodness he reads maps well and don't have a problem asking directions. We have visited a couple of friends that we chatted with on-line and they were fantastic people with wonderful families, we really enjoyed those trips and hope to do more visiting in the future.
