Notes for Nancy (?) KIMBROUGH

Some say that Nancy Kimbrough was the daughter of Ormond Kimbrough and
Elizabeth Davie.
It is hightly unlikely that William Moreland's wife, ?Nancy Kimbrough,
was the daughter of Ormond Kimbrough. Kimbrough genealogy shows only 3
children for Ormand and his first wife and 1 for Ormand and his second
wife. Also, I believe that Ormond was too young to be the parent of
?Nancy Kimbrough.
Ormond's uncle Thomas Kimbrough had a daughter named Nancy. Some of the
data I have shows Nancy marrying a Turner. This could be incorrect or
she could have married more than one time. This Nancy would be in the
correct age bracket to have married William Moreland and been the mother
of James Moreland. This is just a guess on my part. We do not know for
sure that William Moreland's wife's name was Nancy, though we are sure
that she was a Kimbrough. The fact that they named a daughter Nancy
lends credance to the theory that her name was Nancy.
