Notes for John(D.F.) WINGO

DEED: 26 March 1761; 200 Acres to John Wingo from Thomas Wingo, Sr;
Book 7, 1759-1762, pp 426-428; Amelia Co., VA
15 Sep 1791, Wm Rucker executed a deed of gift to the heirs of his
deceased daughter, Sarah Rucker Wingo. The disputed slaces were Milly
and her children Sam, Ben, Nan, Charles, Becky, Lewis, Rueben, Edy and
Moses. They were still in the possession of John Wingo, Sarah's husband.

A settlement was negotiated between the father and the children, as
follows;
*We the subscribers have this 17 Oct 1797 received of John Wingo, Sr of
Amelia Co., VA two hundred thirty five pounds seventeen shillings in
negroes for which negroes we the subscribers do hereby agree than neither
of us our heirs, etc. will or shall even put up or lay and claim or
demand against the estate of the above mentioned John Wingo, Sr or any
part thereof in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands this day
and date as above written.
