Elizabeth Davie
Elizabeth Davie was the daughter of James and Sarah Hays Davie.
Sally
Howard, daughter of Benjamin and Polly Kimbrough Howard (our ancestors)
wrote: "my great grandmother was Sally Hase or Hass or Haas who married a
Mr.
Davie. He died. she then married a Mr. Sivit or Swit. A child by her
first
husband was my grandmother, Elizabeth Davie, who married Ormond
Kimbrough."
Little else is known about the early life of Elizabeth. On October 13,
1795, in Surry County, North Carolina, she married Ormond Kimbrough. They
had 3 children in the next 5 years, and then Elizabeth died, on April 29,
1802, in Surry County, possibly in childbirth. She is buried in the
Kimbrough Cemetery in present Forsyth County.
