The History of Union County gives the info that (________) MORELAND wasa
born in Ireland ca. 1725 & immigrated to American, arriving in N.C. ca.
1750. It goes on to say that he met a girl who had immigrated from
Scotland and marrried her ca. 1751. It attributes the five sons to this
couple.
This History also says that all five sons fought in the Rev. War and all
survived except for AJ, who died of measles.
