Camels

There are six kinds of camels. Most live in hot, dry desert areas.

The Asian camel has two large humps on its back.

The Arabian camel has one large hump on its back.

The hump is made of fat and helps the camel go without food for a long time.

Camels can also live without water for very long times.

Camels are used to carry things and people, but are very grouchy. They often kick, bite or spit at people.
