Raccoons

The raccoons of North America have a black mask across the eyes and a bushy tail. They range in size from 22 to 44 pounds and usually measure about two feet long. They prefer wooded areas near water, but can be found near cities. They can swim and climb trees and usually hunt at night. They eat frogs, fish and plants. The front feet look like hands and can be used to open containers when they are looking for food.
