More information on snowy owls:

There are many kinds of owls. Snowy owls live in the Arctic, at the Northern part of the world. In the winter, they turn pure white  to blend in with the snow.

Owls have to turn their heads to see around them. This gives them a strange look, as though their necks were stiff. Most owls hunt at night, so their hearing is very important.

Owls live almost all over the world. The snowy owls eat small birds, mice and even eggs.

Many types of owls look alike, but all have special noises or calls.
