In August, 1997, we took a trip to the Southwest corner of the state to take EJ on a ride on the coal-fired steam engine up through the mountains. The trip was unbelievable.

EJ was like a puppy in a pickup truck. We had to make sure she got her head in before we got too close to the cliff faces.
EJ didn’t really like being that close to the engine, but she was fascinated by it and it was ok if Mommy held her.

When we were settling in for the ride back, EJ stuck her head out the window and shouted, “Everybody get back on the train!”
