Our first stop on the tour is the general living quarters of Rowan's Haunt. This is where all the ghosts, ghouls, and monsters kick back and relax. We ghouls love to watch movies and hence have a vast collection. Let me share a few of my personal favorites for the kiddies...no halloween night would be the same without them...

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney version)
Hocus Pocus
Capser
The Nightmare Before Christmas

And of course we need to feed those little goblins some treats. Would you like to try some of my personal favorites?...

Ghosts in the Graveyard

3 1/2C cold milk
2 pkgs (4-serving) chocolate instant pudding
1 tub (12 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
1 pkg Oreo cookies, crushed
Goodies for decorations (see bottom)

Make pudding as directed on package using 3 1/2 cups of milk; let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in 3 cups of Cool Whip and half of the crushed Oreos. Spoon into 13x9 dish. Sprinkle with remaining crushed cookies. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Decorate as desired.

You can decorate with candy (candy corns and pumpkins are great). Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies make great tombstones...decorate them with gel icing. Spoonfuls of Cool Whip can be made into ghosts.

Wormy Pops

Gummy worms
White grape juice
Food coloring
Popsicle sticks
3-oz plastic cups

Coil gummy worms into plastic cups. Add a few drops of food coloring to white grape juice. Fill each cup almost to top with grape juice and cover each cup with aluminum foil. Make a small slit in foil and poke popsicle stick through so it stands upright. Freeze cups several hours or until solid. To serve, gently squeeze bottom of cup to slid out frozen pop.

Cupcakes
Cool Whip
Black or chocolate licorice
Chocolate sprinkles
Candies for decoration

Unwrap cupcakes (if needed), turn upside down, and frost with Cool Whip. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles. Insert licorice into top of cupcake to create legs and top with candies for eyes.

Eyeballs

eggs, hard boiled
black olives
red food coloring

Cut hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and make filling for deviled eggs. Put egg filling back into egg halves and push olive into middle of filling. Using a toothpick paint red lines with food coloring onto eggs to resemble blood veins.

Cat's Eyes

1/2C peanut butter
8 Ritz crackers
1 banana, cut into 8 slices
8 raisins

Spread peanut butter on crackers and top each with a slice of banana. Place a raisin in center of each banana to form a cat's eye. Repeat for all banana topped crackers.
