Welcome to my kitchen

I grew up in a small town.
It seems that the kitchen is the first place you see when you enter a home.
There is nothing like sitting around the kitchen table and talking away.
Being in the kitchen also gives
your hostess the freedom to get her daily chores done while talking.
You also get to learn a lot of great family recipes this way too.

I enjoy cooking.
I graduated from Whitter Reg. Voc. Tech. High School in 1978
receiving my certificate in Culinary Arts.
This isn't where I learned the best cooking though
(sorry Mr. V if you see this)
Years of watching mom in the kitchen is where I learned the best cooking.
A little bit of this and
a little bit of that and a whole lot of love goes into the best cooking.

Mom taught me a lot in the kitchen.
One of the most important things she taught me was you could make a lot out of not much.
Meaning when you go looking in the cupboard and the refrigerator
and you don't see much, you will still be able to make a meal.
In most cases you can end up with left-overs.
What you do is start with a base and work from there.
If it looks like it will go good together then put it together.
