How do we raise the
funds?
Lots of ways, is the
simple answer
Raffle tickets, trivia nights, chocolate wheels, auctions, celebrity nights, just to
mention a few.
Our main fund raiser at the moment is the Club’s Annual Village Festival.
This occurs each October in the main Street of Oatley.
It’s a great day, and includes food and gift stalls, fun rides, celebrities and lots
more.
Harley–Davidson bike rides around the park have been an important feature of the
festival for several years. This event raises funds for a number of charities
involving children with disabilities.
Other projects include the Personality
Quest. Funds raised were used for the Lions Health Care and Save Sight
Foundations. Around $1500 was donated to the St George cancer Care Lodge at Kogarah.
