                       My Applesauce, Chunky Style

  Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

   2      lb            rome apples
   1 1/2  lb            granny smith apples
     3/4  c             apple cider
   1 1/2  t             cinnamon
     1/3  c             light brown sugar

Wash, peel,core and dice apples. Add all ingredients to saucepan. Simmer until apples are mushy, about 30-40 minutes. 

Mash most of the apples. Fill hot canning jars. Process in jars for 10 minutes in hot water bath.
