FOR GRANDPARENT'S DAY

Grandpa took me fishin
We sat upon the bank
He told me funny stories
Of the skunk and Uncle Hank

Grandma baked my favorite
Cookies, cakes and pies
She told me grandpa's yarns
Are harmless little lies

They sit upon their rockers
Rocking to and fro
With eyes so clear and hair as white
As fresh new fallen snow

Take the time to hug them
Show them that you care
It means so much to both of them
Your time with them to share

It's fun to come to their warm house
And have a little stay
To celebrate and honor them
This fine Grandparent's Day
