Sources

A number of sources deserve special mention. One point to note: as much of the older genealogical information came from secondary (or even tertiary) sources, it is certain that some mistakes have crept in. I am happy to make corrections; just send them to me.

	Most of the old photos in the photo collection came from Rosella (Alexander) Hughes' photo album. I've tried to indicate who the photographer is on the newer photos.
	Much of the information about the Hart individuals is based on the monumental work "Descendants of Peter and Dority Hart, 1740-1995, Virginia and North Carolina and Allied Families", by Ruth Gibbs Hart and Karen L. Cooper, 1996. (This two-volume set has over 2000 pages of Hart descendents and their history! Unfortunately, Karen sold the last of the entire 300 copy printing run three weeks after the printing, so copies may be hard to come by. Fortunately, Doris Sue (Hughes) Sparks has a copy.)
	Information about the Hughes individuals prior to 1953 has generally come from the work by Tilla Leona Hughes Neff, which was supplemented and greatly expanded by Wayne Walton Hughes (now deceased).
	Much of the early information about the Overton folks comes from "Families of the Overtons of Anderson County Tennessee and their Cox cousins," 1993, by Joseph R. Overton, and loaned to me by Jeff Hunt (greatgrandson of Minnie Overton, first cousin of Sarah Emmoline Overton.) Thanks, Jeff!
	Initial information about the Sorrell's comes from a small number of pages of genealogical data (from a now unknown source) received by Alice Alexander. Additional information has been taken from a document from the Sorrell family reunion, and provided by Louann (Alexander) Weber.
