I really wish that Rev. Charles Pennington had left a Will. He lived in Grayson Co. for 17 years, had a huge family and is a good candidate to be Samuel's father. In fact, he could be father to a lot of unidentified people in the area. I know that at least some of his descendents were over in TN but after leaving Virginia he went north. I correspond with a lady who is researching Rhody Pennington from Grayson Co. She married Thomas Dickens in 1812 and moved to WVA. She is another unattached-and-flapping-in-the-wind-Pennington.
