My first and foremost reason in creating this site was as a memorial to my beloved grandmother, Dorothy Prestenback. It was my intention to keep her memory alive by recording her life, and that of her mother's, here online for everyone to see. It was also to be a small family-tree of sorts, giving some information about each member of our small family.

This site was begun in December of 1998, two months after my grandmother left us. In January of 1999, my great-grandmother passed also. Finally, at this late date of October 1999, the site comes to completion. It is dedicated to the memory and the lives of two very special women that I was privileged enough to be blessed with knowing in this lifetime (and hopefully many others), Dorothy Prestenback and Melina Beauvais. I hope you take the time to read of the rich lives they both led, and learn more about the terrible diseases which took them from us.

You will also find a little information about the rest of my family. We are a very small family, and that makes us close. Here is the majority of us:
