John Ford Bourke


John Bourke was born & raised in Central, Louisiana with his parents, 2 sisters & 2 brothers; the fourth of five children. In high school he was involved with track and his passion, football.

In March 1977, John married Pamela Prestenback, and in the following 5 years had 3 children with her, Shanna, Amber, & Johnnie. At the beginning of their lives together, John was a certified electrician and worked hard to support his family.

In 1993, John worked for the Town of Maringouin, where he lived, as the supervisor of the town workers. From here he went to work in the City of Plaquemine, becoming head of the sewer department. It was at this time that John became interested in wastewater and took many classes to further his knowledge in this area.

Currently, John owns his own business, Environmental Concepts & Services, which serves private or public water & wastewater systems. He is expanding his business to include the TMS 5000 Telemetry System.
