Retro Kowsins

here is a page dedicated to our retro kowsins ... they belong to the first batch of the ONAkowsins circa 1950s? anyway, no matter how they camouflage their actual and real age you may verify it in our family tree page ...

Dear NakaTATAnda,

Ang saya - another kowsin we can trade snide remarks with!

I know my welcome greetings come a bit late but as anyone in the Philippines who has access to the entertainment pages of the newspapers will be able to attest, I have been swamped with work! But don't worry, I've been avidly following the kowsins' desperate quest for an issue to nitpick about. Para kayong Seinfeld - a show about nothing at all; buti na lang may entertainment value kayo!

As regards my Valentine's day gimmick, I am embarassed to admit that I'm going out! But before you all fall off your respective chairs, I am going out with my barkada, the demographics of which is as follows: 50% spinsters and 50% married. So there. We're watching the concert of three groups holding themselves out as the present incarnation of the 70s Motown groups: The Stylistics, The Supremes and the 5th Dimension. (Tata and Boboy, I know you ACTUALLY recognize these groups. But this was way before our time, di ba, Elen?) Uh-oh, I can feel a deluge of issues in the wake of my admission that i am watching this concert! Undersigned defendant avers that she was too busy she allowed her friends to organized her VDay.

Finally, I register my vehement objections to your insuations that I am still computer-illiterate! (actually, kaya ako napasulat ng di oras!) Di ba, Bulyot?!

O siya, I have to get ready for the ball (actually, the concert)!

Kowsin ABOGADA

p.s. Uncle Nitong, residence, office and email adresses lang ba ang kailangan n'yo? Hindi telephone and telefax, education and employment background, height and weight (heaven forbid!), hobbies, interests, latest Income Tax Returns, etc? I'm having a hard time getting data from my family, since Dad insists on supllying you with all of the above (hehehe!)

note: this data that Uncle Nitong was asking is for the forthcoming Aguila Clan souvenir program

Christine,

no need to be defensive about going to the concert of those guys. Uso naman ang retro, however, if you went to the concert wearing those chunky elevator shoes, flared pants with hems that sweep the floor, and blue eye shadows...well, then that's a different story.

ELEN

Kumare, my comments:

1. Kowsin, all is not lost. Great to hear that half of your company during the Vday were married. Kung spinster lahat, medyo malubha na. Sa ngayon 50-50 pa rin. (think im sick,.for the first time, im on your side, abogada)

2. On the Supremes, Stylistics and 5th Dimension. Yes, I admit this groups are familiar. I hear of them when i listen to revivals by bands of my time. Si sister sigurado ako familiar sa mga grupong ito. Baka nga pati 4ht Dimension.

Brgds BOBOY

Excuse me lang. Anong 5th Dimension, Supremes and Stylistics? Sino ba yan mga grupong yan? Ah...alam ko na...it's coming back to me now! OK, amin ako. i know these groups --siguro kaya hindi ko kaagad maalala kasi batang bata pa ako noon! Heh, Heh, Heh!

Glad to hear from you abogada and also very happy to hear from Bulyot as well.

TATA
