Ensign Edmund Howard Compton, born 6/10/1759, Maryland, died 3/8/1838, Kentucky; married Sara 
Read Foster

Ensign Edmund H. Compton enlisted in the first Maryland Regiment as Ensign 2/18/1780.  He was 
transferred to the fourth Maryland and served to close of war.  He was promoted to Lieutenant.
