Will of Robert West, Sussex Co., Delaware
In The Name of God Amen The tenth day of December in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty I Robert West, though sick and weak
in body yet in perfect mind and memory through mercey, Calling to mind the
uncertainty of Life and the certainty of death do make this my Last will and
Testament that is to Say I resign up my Soul to God that gave it and my body
to be buried at the discreation of my Executor hereafter named, and as
Touching Such worldly Estate as it hath pleased Almighty to blefs me with I
give in manner and form following Viz:
I give to my Brother Joseph West Fifty Pounds, as also I give to my Brother
John West my Saddle and Bridle, I give to my Brother Wrixam West my Silver
Shoe Buckels, I give to my Three Nephews namely Joseph West and
Benjamin West and John West my Watch, I give to my Brother Joseph West
my Horse, I give to Brother Lewis west three Dollars I give to my Brother
Peter West three Dollars, I give to my Brother John Wests Daughters namely
Elizabeth West and Comfort West each one Dollar, I give to my Brother
Wrixam Wests Daughter Mary West one Dollar, I give to my nephew William
West one Shilling, I also give to my five Brothers namely John West Wrixam
West Lewis West Peter West and Joseph West the residue of my Estate to be
Equally devided. Lastly I do nominate Constitute and appoint my brother
Joseph West to be my Executor of this my Last will and Testament.

Memorandum this Second day of January 1761 the said Sanders Darby and
John Harmonson Two of the witnefses to the above will Subscribing
appeared before me Jacob Kollock Registor appointed for the probate of
wills and granting letters of administracon for the County of Sufsex on
Delaware and Sanders Darby being one of the people Called Quaker who
for concionce Sake could not take an oath, did on their oath and Solemn
affirmation severad hearing the Testator Robert West did Sign Seal
publish pronounce and Declare the above written to be his Last will and
Testament and that at the doing thereof the Testator was of a Sound &
perfect disposing mind memory and judgment and that they and each of
them Together with John Lewis Subscribed the Same as Evidences at
request and In presence of the Testator—
