Poem: "I Promise" By: Sandy
"I Promise"
I promise you the moonlight when your nights are dark and dense.
Whence your sorrows seem to overflow like oceans they commence.
I'll lift you above the currents and let you drift with me.
I'll hold your head above the waters of the deep and frigid sea.
I promise you my inner strength when the mountains get to steep.
Whence you weaken from exhaustion and your body gets too weak.
Whence life gets complicated and your spirits breaking down,
just look in my direction, I'll always be around.
I promise you the sunlight when the sun for you won't shine.
I'll be the one to light your way until the end of time.
I'll shower you with roses in a field full of daisies.
I'll sprinkle you with rainbow dew when your days are dim and hazy.
I promise you some stardust when the starlight leaves your eyes.
Whence your eyes are fogged with tears and you feel the need to cry.
I'll wipe away each tear that falls, and mend your aching heart.
I promise you an enduring love, and I promise we'll never part.
