Carmine Jackson

The History of Versaille --  The Tenth District of Rutherford County -- and it's Peple is dedicated to: CARMINE JACKSON, the daughter of Captain Francis Jackson III, a Confederate officer.  Carmine lived from birth to death in the ancestral home, construction of which began in the 1830's.  Soon after completing her assignments on this publication, Carmine expired 11  October 1982, and was buried across the road from the ancestral home, with other family members of her generation.
