Boelhouwer in Amsterdam

In Amsterdam leefde een vrij groot Boelhouwer geslacht, dat echter geen aantoonbare connectie heeft met andere grote Boelhouwer geslachten. Dit Boelhouwer-geslacht kwam waarschijnlijk in de 17e eeuw vanuit Amersfoort naar Amsterdam. Een aantal leden van dit geslacht heeft in Nederlandsch Indië vooraanstaande posities bekleed.De foto links toont de Sint Pieterspoort aan het Rokin te Amsterdam rond het jaar 1800. 
In Amsterdam a fairly old and big Boelhouwer family lived. This family probably came to Amsterdam from Amersfoort in the seventeenth century. A connection to one of the other large Boelhouwer families has not yet been established. Some members of this family have fullfilled rather important positions in the Dutch Indies.The picture on the left shows the Sint Pieterspoort at the Rokin in Amsterdam around the year 1800. |

Dit is een foto van David Boelhouwer, geb. te Amsterdam 21-10-1824, overl. in 1905, zoon van Jacobus Boelhouwer en Lavina Oom. Deze foto werd beschikbaar gesteld door mevrouw S.Boelhouwer-Hutzezon, haar man, Johannes Cornelis Boelhouwer (*1933-†1991), was een nakomeling van David. |
