Well, this week was wonderful as we went to San Diego for the entire week. We started by visiting some friends (the Patterson's) who live in Ramona, Ca. On July 3, we all went to Seaworld and had quite a good time. We went fully prepared with two strollers, saw Shamu Stadium, hugged some penguins, and had some wonderful times around the table.July 4th, we went to the Wild Animal Park near Ramona, Ca. It was fun feeding the giraffes, feeding the birds, and traveling to the Heart of Africa. We also monkeyed around a bit, and even sat on top of a rhino (with brad's help of course). Wow!July 5th, we traveled to our hotel (Clarion Bay View in San Diego). It was fun to splurge a little for the next four days. We went to the beach in the afternoon, and that's about it for the day. Tuesday, July 6th, we went to Legoland. It was awesome. We saw many different lego creations, such as Mount Rushmore (made out of legos, everything there was made out of legos), and there were many rides there that Sierra loved (especially the Legocar she drove by herself). Brad even fought Darth Vader and almost won! We highly recommend the place for kids. It was great. The next day, we went back to Seaworld again to soak in some more of the action. Thursday, July 8th, we went to the San Diego Zoo. I'm sorry, the World Famous San Diego Zoo. We did happen to find some goats that got plenty of attention, and even ran away from some of them. A short trip that day, but a lot of walking was done by all.Well, the 9th we got up at a very leisurely pace, had some breakfast, then booked on back to the homestead. Arrived about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. We are home. |
