HEREFORD INLET LIGHTHOUSE - NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ
On Thursday August 20, 1998 we also visited the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. My mommy and I took the tour and climbed to the top. This one was easier to climb than the Barnegat and Cape May lights. I think I wore my mommy out by climbing three lighthouses in one day. She had trouble getting out of bed on Friday.
The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse is located at Hereford Inlet, on First and Central Avenues in North Wildwood, NJ. Hereford Light began operations on May 11, 1874. The tower is 49.5 feet tall with the light elevation rising to 57 feet above sea level. The light is visible for 13 nautical miles.
