SuSue's little zoo includes Pomeranians Cody da Pom (Cody) and Miss Mischief (Missy); and our big, fat, fluffy pussycat BC -- short for Big Cat, or Big Chicken depending on the circumstances.
Cody and Missy were two of thirty seven Pomeranian puppies that we rescued from a puppy mill. We took them home, cleaned them up and got rid of massive amounts of fleas, took them to the vet and found new homes for all except the two that captured our hearts. Actually, they all captured our hearts, but these two claimed us as their people. Cody is mine, and only mine while Missy owns Ralph. They are now 5 years old and run our household with the help of BC.
BC was going to be taken to the pound because his owners new girlfriend was allergic to him. Our pound is not famous for finding homes for cats, so he probably would have been eutheniized. When he came to live with us, BC was terrified to go out doors. Now, two years later, I can hardly make him come in at night! He is once again a well adjusted, healthy cat. He and Cody share my pillow at night, sometimes pushing me clear off of it.
