I am the very blessed mother to six beautiful children. They are my absolute pride and joys! I will be the first to admit that raising six children is not always easy, and at times can be downright difficult, but my children have brought me more joy than I could ever have thought possible!
Not a day goes by that I don't laugh and just enjoy life because of them (yeah, okay, there's a few days that I cry, too, but..........it's worth it!)
Let me introduce them to you.
Bradley is our first born, and his father's namesake. He is now thirteen years old. He is an honor roll student in the 8th grade. He was chosen as his school's Student of the Month for January, 2003 for effort and citizenship, and was awarded the ACES award for the 2002-2003 school year. This award is given for acedemics, character, effort, and service!
He plays the flute in the Junior High band and is on the Junior High track team. He wants to get a Master's Degree in Literature and have a career as an author. He writes some good stuff! He would also like to be a kindergarten teacher to supplement his writing.
He is a wonderful big brother. His brother and sisters love him. Selena calls him "Mr. Funny".
Garrett, a.k.a. "Taz", is twelve now. He absolutely loves video games and drawing. He also loves animals. He participates every year in the 4H horseback riding for handicappers program. This will be his fourth year. He loves this program and begins asking about it months before it is to begin.
Garrett has Down Syndrome. He "talks" in sign. He attends a special needs class at his school. He also has Celiac disease, so he is on a special diet.
Brittany is eight and is a typical girl. She is getting ready to begin a season of softball and recently particpated in the Science Olympiad for the school district. She is a very smart young lady who does wonderful in school, and is also very helpful and kind to her fellow students.
She loves to read. She also loves Lizzie McGuire, American Girl, and Mary-Kate and Ashley. She is a wonderful helper (second mommy) to her baby sister, Olivia.
Destiny is six. She is in 1st grade this year. She will also begin a season of softball this year.
She also loves reading and Polly Pockets.
Then, we haveSelena. She is four years old and is in preschool this year.
She is quite a talker and can crack you up with some of her comments. She loves to sing!
Finally, we have Olivia! She is just four months old, but her smile is an absolute day brightener!
And the man who made all of them possible is my wonderful husband Brad. Brad is 39 years old. He loves the Detroit Red Wings, running, playing with the kids, and reading. He is an avid runner and he completed his first marathon in 2002 in the awesome time of 3:48! Whooo-hooo!He has since run one more marathon and a half marathon and has his eye on the Disney World marathon in 2005!
That pretty much sums everyone up!
