First Snow is a book Kirsten found at the library. She wanted it because we were looking for the first snow to hit our area this year.

Sara's Daddy is sick and can't feed the sheep. Sara and her Mommy with "Teddy," Sara's teddy bear head up the mountain to feed the sheep. Once they reach the mountaintop, it becomes very still. Soon they see the snow start to fall and hurry to be sure the sheep have enough food. Sara plays with the falling snowflakes. On the way home they realize that they have left Teddy, but soon one of the family dogs brings it to them.

This book doesn't really have a strong story and it doesn't really teach you anything. The best part about the book was that Kirsten could read it almost by herself and the illustrations are very nice. Of course, it is about a girl, so Kirsten thinks that's great.
