Heart of A Tiger

book
by Marsha Diane Arnold

Heart of a Tiger is a 1997-1998 Hoosier Nominee for Kindergarten through Third Grade. Number 4 can't decide what name to pick and Naming Day is only a week away. Not only is he the smallest of the kittens to be named on Naming Day, but he has a murky gray coat. Whatever name you picked would determine your fate in life.

Number 4 had watched the Magnificent One, Beautiful Bengel, whose golden stripes shines like a hundred suns against the black night sky. If only he could be like the Magnificent One! One morning just as the sun is rising, Number 4 leaves to find the Beautiful Bengel to learn his ways. And here the adventure begins that will give Number 4 a special name on Naming Day.

Rating: 4 stars

The story teaches about animals and life in the jungle. It also shows how the inside of a person is more important than how someone looks. The graphics in the book are great and worth the investment in a hardback book. It can be purchased on line through Amazon!
