School Spirit Sabotage

by Elizabeth Levy

School Spirit Sabotage by Elizabeth Levy is a book I picked up at the library. The front cover caught my eye with its clever illustrations of the suspects in the mystery. Since I really like mysteries, I thought I would check it out.

Mr. Demert, principal of Pine Beach Elementary, wanted to the start the new school year off right. He decided the second week of school would be School Spirit Week. Penny (known as Pea Brain to her older brother Brian) had just started kindergarten and was excited about Clash Day on Monday. Each day the students were expected to dress according to the planned activity. Even though Brian didn't think much of the School Spirit Week, he and Penny set out to catch the person who keeps messing up the activites. Someone is deliberately sabotaging the week.

Rating: 3 stars

The reading level for this book is between second and third grade. The mystery was very simple, but it would be a good introduction for someone who hasn't read a mystery before. You can purchase School Spirit Sabotage through Amazon.
