Ray and Rachel Sanders' idea of a family vacation is definitely not exploring some old Mayan ruins. Just when they think things couldn't be worse, they meet up with Andrew and his mother at the hotel. Andrew is a chatter box who studied all about Mayan ruins before coming on the trip. When he finds out that Ray and Rachel are taking a tour the next day, he invites himself.

During the tour, Ray and Rachel are counting the hours until their misery is over and they can return to the hotel. All of a sudden Andrew falls into a tunnel. Not just an ordinary tunnel, but a smuggler's tunnel. Now the adventure really begins.

This book is not only a mystery but you can learn a lot of interesting facts about the Mayan civilization. Since mysteries and history are two of my favorite reading subjects, I would recommend this to any one who likes to learn while they read.
