Snowballs

by Lois Ehlert
Snowballs is a 1997-1998 Hoosier Nominee for Kindergarten
through Third Grade.
This is a short story that can be read by beginning readers. Kirsten
who is in kindergarten read it with only a little help. The author
uses a lot of household items to decorate all the snowmen in the
book. At the very end there is a list of items you can find on the
snowmen in the book and it is fun to go back and try to find them
all somewhere on a snowman. There is an explanation of what makes
snow that parents or big brothers or sisters can read.
Rating:
This is a fun book for beginning readers and the explanation of
what makes snow teaches them something about the weather. It can be
purchased through
Amazon.
