Cecilia Ann Gehling

Cecilia Ann (usually called Ceal) was born at the family home in Carroll County, Iowa. She was baptized at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in nearby Carroll, and later went to school there. She married James Houlihan on 11 October 1937. She became a registered nurse, he the owner of a Lincoln-Mercury dealership and the Houlihan Oil Company in Carroll. Together they had five children:

1- George Leo (Lee) Houlihan (married Lois Otto; together they had four children: Bryan, Curtis, Kay, David)

2- Patricia Houlihan (married Howard Dress; together they had seven children: Michelle, Judy, Jerry, Connie, Karen, Howard,Halley)

3- Jane Houlihan (married Richard Winderl; together they had three children: Christine, Stephen, Ann Marie)

4- Elaine Houlihan (married Steve Schliesman; together they had three children: Elisa, Patrick, Natalie)

5- Michael Houlihan
