On December 21, 1900, Mr. I.D. Pollard deeded four acres of land for use as a cemetery. Even though several burials were already at the location, a deed was filed to protect the cemetery for all times. Filed in Denton County Courthouse, Vol. 69, page 592.
From Denton, Texas take I35E North to Era, Texas Exit FR 922. At the intersection of FR 922 and FR 51 go South on FR 51 for 6.35 miles - on the right is several large silos with +N markings on them; across road is a white gate (locked) go through gate and follow road to the top of the hill; above a barn to the right is a dim road angling off; follow road across pasture approximately 3/4 miles; cemetery is Southwest; stones are visible; then go through another gate. The cemetery is on private property; contact Edwin D. Knight - 817-665-4608 to get key and permission to enter property. This is a large abandoned cemetery; however in January 1990 a cemetery association was formed by descendants of people buried there, and the cemetery is cleaned and well cared for; the last burial in the cemetery was in 1962; the county road that gave access to the cemetery was closed, eliminating burials in Pollard-Gregory Cemetery.
