He married Maud de Chaworth. She was the daughter of Patrick de Chaworth and Maud de Hesdin. Maud died by 1147.

Walter FitzEdward de Salisbury and Maud de Chaworth had the following child:

3 i. Sibyl³ de Salisbury was born before about 1141, the first event for which there is a recorded date. She married John FitzGilbert Marshal about 1141. He was the son of Gilbert Marshal. John died 1165. (See John FitzGilbert Marshal for the continuation of this line.)
