6. Joseph² Bodfish (Robert¹) was born in Sandwich, MA 4/3/1651. Joseph died 12/2/1744 in Barnstable, MA, at 93 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Bessey in Barnstable, MA, 6/1674. She was the daughter of Anthony Bessey and Jane unknown.

Joseph Bodfish and Elizabeth Bessey had the following children:

7 i. Melatiah³ Bodfish was born 4/17/1669. She married Samuel Fuller.

8 ii. John Bodfish was born in Barnstable, MA 12/6/1675. He married Sarah Nye 5/17/1704.

9 iii. Joseph Bodfish Jr was born 10/1677. Joseph died before 1735. He married Thankful Blush.

10 iv. Mary Bodfish was born 3/1/1680. She married Josiah Swift 4/19/1706.

11 v. Hannah Bodfish was born in Barnstable, MA 5/1681. She married Richard Thomas.

+ 12 vi. Benjamin Bodfish was born 7/20/1683.

13 vii. Benjamin Bodfish was born 7/20/1683. Benjamin died 1760. He married Lydia Crocker 11/10/1709. Lydia was born in Barnstable, MA 9/26/1686. She was the daughter of Jonathan Crocker and Hannah Howland. She married Benjamin Bodfish 11/10/1709. Lydia died 3/27/1780 in Barnstable, MA, at 93 years of age.

14 viii. Nathan Bodfish was born in Barnstable, MA 12/27/1685. He married Abigail Bursley.

15 ix. Ebenezer Bodfish was born in Barnstable, MA 3/10/1688.

16 x. Elizabeth Bodfish was born in Barnstable, MA 8/27/1690. Elizabeth died before 1735. She married Reuben Blish.

17 xi. Rebecca Bodfish was born 2/22/1693. Rebecca died 3/10/1727/8 at 34 years of age. She married Benjamin Fuller 3/25/1714.

+ 18 xii. Robert Bodfish was born 10/10/1698.

19 xiii. Sarah Bodfish was born 2/20/1701. She married Joseph Smith Jr 3/8/1726/7.
