131. Josiah⁵ Bearse (Josiah⁴, Josiah³, Joseph², Augustine¹, Gauche^A) was born in New Fairfield, CT 8/17/1755. Josiah died 8/30/1845 in Penfield, NY, at 90 years of age.

He married Freelove Canfield in New Milford, CT, 3/27/1781. Freelove was born in New Milford, CT 1758. She was the daughter of Oliver Canfield and Tabitha Roberts. Freelove died 7/31/1849 in Elyria, OH.

Josiah Bearse and Freelove Canfield had the following children:

258 vii. Joseph Canfield Bearse was born in New Milford, CT 6/1/1790.
