DEATH: 23 Mar 1771 Jurby per her below listed will. BURIAL: 24 Mar 1771 Jurby Burial Register Book page 64. Looks like she died from childbirth after Ann was born. ARCHDEACON WILL 1771 #69 Jurby Film #0106225; The last will and testament of Mary Mylecharaine als Kewish who departed this life about the 23d of March Anno predicto Being of perfect mind and memory at the making hereof: Shee committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial. Shee bequeathed to her three daughters vizt: Catherine Mary and Anne two pounds ten shillings each as legacy. The testator willed that those legacys before mentioned are to be kept and reserved in their fathers hand and to remain therein without paying interest for the same until the foresaid children come to age; likewise she willed the children to her husband's care. Shee left to her daughter Cath her little spinning wheel and her mantle. Shee left to her sister Jane Cain als Kewish her dominny mantle if Jane her sister would give her daughter Mary a good mantle for the the same. Shee left to her sister Isabel Kewish a quilted pettycoat. Shee left to her sister Ann a coased head cap. Shee left to her three daughters before mentioned all her sheaped cloathe wollen and linin to cloath and cover her said daughters as they stand in need of the same. Shee excluded all claimers with six pence legacy. And lastly shee nominated constituted and apointed her beloved husband Edward Mylecharaine whole and sole executor of all the rest of her worldly effects whatsoever. Philip Cain and Isabel Kewish uncle and aunt to the orphans are sworn guardians, Pledges for the payment of debts and legacies are Thos Callister and John Callister both of Jurby. Note that Anne the youngest child died since the death of the testatrix.
