ARCHDEACON WILL Jurby 1813 #40 FHL Film #0106239: This is affired to be the last will and testament of William Mylcarane of the parish of Jurby who departed this life the 15th day of February 1813 being of perfect mind and sound memory at the making hereof as follows: First he comitted his Soul to God and his Body to Christian Burial. He leave to his son William the sum of five pounds British together with whatsoever he had formerly received, He leave to his son Philip the sum five pounds British if he comes for it. But if he come not for it then this sum of five pounds is to return to his aforsd son William. We leave to his son John the sum of Fifteen pounds British legacy. He leave to his daughter Catherine the sum of fifteen pounds British and a heifer and a bed and a wheel. He leave to his daughter Ann the sum of fifteen pounds British and two sheep. He leave to his daughter Jane the sum of fifteen pounds British and two sheep. Lastly he nominate ordain and appointed his loving wife Elizabeth Mylcarane whole and sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immovable--- Witnesses presence Thomas Corlett and Margrett Corlett - Jurati.

To the worshipful Thomas Arthur Corlett Vicar General The humble petition of Williarn Mylecharane Sheweth - That Elizabeth Mylecharane your petitioners mother lately departed this life intestate and it is necessary that some proper person should be appointed to administer her estate. Wherefore your petitioner prays a hearing of this petition and that your worship may be pleased to appoint and swear Mr. Wm Kelly of Jurby or some other proper person to administer the estate of the said Elizth Mylecharane and your petitioner will pray. Ordered that this petion do come on to be heard at a court to be holden at Ramsey on Friday next. Whereof all proper parties to have due notice. Given this 12th March 1845. T. A. Coriett At an Eccl Court held in Ramsey the 14th March 1845 - upon hearing this petition in presence of the parties it appears Elizabeth Mylecaraine therein named departed this life some time ago intestate leave Jane Radcliffe wife of James Radcliffe and Ann Cannell wife of John Cannell who some time ago went abroad - her only next of kin surviving - and Wm Kelly of Ballacurry in the parish of Jurby being recommended to this court by the said James Radcliffe as a fit and proper person to be entrusted with the administration of the personal estate of the said deceased he the said William Kelly is. therefore sworn well and truly to administer the same, to pay all just debts and funeral expenses of the said deceased so far forth as the goods will extend and the law bind him and to return to the Epl Registry of this Diocese a full true and perfect inventory of the said goods and effect with an accurate account of all his acts and proceedings on the premises when then unto lawfully required and to these ends he has given Wm Mylecarane of Ballmoar and the said James Radcliffe of the same place in the parish of Jurby as pledges who have in presence of the court extend into a bond to that effect in due form of law.
