        Mrs. Susan Mable Pratt, age 99, a former Waverly and Breamer County resident, died early Saturday morning, August 7, 1982, at Mercy Hospital, Mason City.  She had been a resident of the 100F Home in Mason City since 1964.  She was born June 28th, 1883, rural Sumner, the daughter of John and Susan (Jackson) Craine.  She attended the rural school and high school in Summer, later teaching in the rural schools of Breamer.  Sher married Merwin Pratt on June 11, 1906, they farmed in Breamer County until 1936, when they moved to Waverly and operated the Cabin Court Grocery.  After her husband's death in 1938 she was employed in Mason City and Toledo, Iowa.  She returned to Waverly in 1955 to make her home for the next nine years.  She was a member of the Episcopal Church and Rebekal Lodge.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Eudols, in infancy; two sons; Carlyle in 1925 and Elton in 1969; two great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.  Susie is survived by one son, Winford of Frederika; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three nieces and a cousin Rae Concannon of Waverly.  Funeral services were held on Monday August 9th at 2 o'clock at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with burial in Alcock Cemetery at Frederks.  Cleveland Funeral Home of Waverly in charge of arrangements.
